Lee BIA Builders Care honors outstanding volunteers, partners during annual awards event

Lee BIA Builders Care recently hosted its annual awards event honoring several community partners and volunteers for their service and commitment to Southwest Florida’s needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners and their families.

The 2018 awards include: Volunteer of the Year, presented to Trevor Taulman of Taulman Pest Control; Volunteer Company of the Year, awarded to Ferguson Enterprises; Outstanding Partners of the Year, recognizing Ad-Ler Roofing and Thread Source; Contributor of the Year, presented to HONC Industries; President’s Special Recognition Award, awarded to Mike Dannenhauer; and the Presidential Award, recognizing 2018 board president Dan Beiter.

“Whether they’ve helped build a wheelchair ramp, fund a life-changing project, or volunteer at a fundraising event, our community partners and volunteers go above and beyond to make Lee BIA Builders Care and our mission possible,” said Becky Swift, executive director of Lee BIA Builders Care. “These individuals and companies truly exemplify the meaning behind “Builders Care,” and we are so grateful for this year’s honorees and all of our valued partners for their selfless support and passion for our community.”

About Lee BIA Builders Care

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (Lee BIA). The mission of Lee BIA Builders Care is to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means.
