On Wednesday June 14, 2017, Target Roofing & Sheet Metal partnered with Lee BIA Builders Care to help an elderly Harlem Heights woman with roof repairs just in time before the rainy season.
Mary Washington is an 87 year old woman who has lived in this home for more than 50 years and in this community even longer. She does quite well living on her own citing her strong worth ethic gained in the farm fields of Georgia. Washington lives in the home with two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her granddaughter, Chauncy, suffers with multiple medical problems including multiple sclerosis. Mary’s age plus the increasingly troublesome medical situation with her granddaughter make necessary repairs on her home absolutely crucial.
Thanks to the generosity of Target Roofing & Sheet Metal, Miss Mary can now approach the rainy season with the comfort of knowing her roof will keep her safe. The work was completed in just one day. All labor and materials were donated by Target Roofing & Sheet Metal at no cost to the homeowner. The total value of services is estimated to be over $3,000.
“On behalf of Builders Care, we are extremely thankful for the generosity of Target Roofing & Sheet Metal. We are beginning to see a significant increase in emergency roofing needs this time of year. We look forward to working with Target Roofing to help other Lee County homeowners in need, said Christi Pritchett Sarlo, Executive Director of Builders Care. “We are also seeking additional building partners to expand our reach across the county. Please contact us at (239) 938-0056 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved today!”
