Spirited 90-year-old Receives Handicap Bathroom

After a recent partner with ARGOS and Bonness on a successful concrete ramp build for the spirited 90-year-old Mary Glasper, Builders Care knew that she was still in need of a handicap-accessible bathroom.

The door was too small for her wheelchair to access the bathroom. A regular tub created issues for her to transfer into the shower, and without a bench to sit on made it impossible for her to do the simplest bathroom routines.

All this was made possible by Nilles Design Group and Beattie Development. Nilles Design Group worked on ADA regulation plans for the perfect bathroom for Mary and her needs. Ken Solmonson and his team at Beatie Development came out to do the build. Lead Carpenter Corey McVay said it was his first time doing a project like this with Builders Care. He said it was very rewarding; especially getting to know the family and knowing that he was helping them in a big way. Production Manager Steve Moore was also on the job overseeing and smoothing out all the details. The result was a wider bathroom doorway, roll-in shower with shower bench, grab bars, and even a new light fixture to give it the perfect touch for Mary.

A small miracle for Mary Glasper and her family, all from generous partners of the community and Builders Care. Thank you, Beattie Development and Nilles Design Group, for giving our neighbor in need the comfort of a handicap-accessible bathroom. We could not do it without you.
