Lee BIA Builders Care provides New Roof for Disabled Homeowner

LeeBC

Recently, Lee BIA Builders Care provided a new roof for a disabled homeowner in Fort Myers.

Velma is a disabled 63-year old woman who has lived in her Fort Myers home since 1990.  In 2017, when SWFL saw its fair share of intense rain followed by Hurricane Irma, her 29-year-old shingle roof began to deteriorate.

Unfortunately, Velma’s homeowners insurance denied her claim and would not cover the cost for the roof to be replaced.  Velma has limited mobility and lives on a fixed income, which is just enough to cover basic living expenses and medications, preventing her from making the necessary repairs herself.  Subsequently, active leaks in her utility room and bedroom continued to worsen each day.

Velma’s son, Elnathan, had done his best to temporarily repair the roof, but the repairs just wouldn’t hold up with the extent of the damage.

Fortunately, Lee BIA Builders Care contracted the work of Ad-Ler Roofing, Inc. to provide Velma with a brand new roof.  The new roof is a life-changing gift for Velma, providing her with ease and a much safer means of living for many years to come.
