Recently, Lee BIA Builders Care was able to provide much-needed modifications for a disabled homeowner in need.
At age 36, Roger was diagnosed with peripheral artery disease, a condition that reduces the circulation of blood flow to the limbs. Since the diagnosis, Roger has undergone multiple amputations, including both legs and multiple fingers. These circumstances left Roger and his family unprepared for the necessary modifications that were needed to his home, as both bathrooms were not equipped for accessibility. While Roger receives a limited amount of disability income and his wife Tamara works full-time to help support their family, their combined income was not enough to make any type of modifications. As a result, Roger’s wife would assist in getting him in and out of the guest bathroom tub to bathe, as he was unable to maneuver his wheelchair in the master bathroom.
After learning about Roger’s situation, the team at Devoted Restoration generously stepped in to provide these much-needed modifications to his bathroom. Additional partners included: Water Works and Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings
Other repairs were also needed to the home including his garage door and drywall repairs. Kindly, D&D Garage Doors stepped in to provide a new garage door for Mr. Bess and J.B.A. Construction Company, Inc., provided drywall repairs to portions of his garage and lanai.

All work was performed at no cost thanks to the generosity of these project partners. These modifications have already made a world of a difference for Roger and his family and they are beyond grateful to all who made it possible!
