Recently, Lee BIA Builders Care was able to assist a Disabled Homeowner in Fort Myers with critical repairs.
Barbara Ford, 65, is a disabled woman who lives in Fort Myers. Originally from New York, Barbara and her husband moved into their Fort Myers home in 2005. In 2018, her husband died of cancer. Shortly after his passing, Barbara learned she had stage 3 chronic kidney disease. The cause was unknown, and doctors urged her to go to Shands Hospital in Gainesville for further diagnostic testing. Test after test, they still could not identify the cause. Meanwhile, her homes foundation was cracked causing water to get inside the home. Extensive repairs were needed to the foundation and the interior of her home from the water damage. Only able to work part time, Barbara did not have the means to afford any type of repairs.
Fortunately, Lee BIA Builders Care learned of Barbara’s situation and contracted with Tobler Construction to make the necessary repairs. Barbara now has peace of mind since this burden has been lifted. She can now focus on her health and face each day with much more ease.
