Holiday Blessings for Quadriplegic and family, thanks to Kelly Roofing

The Holidays came early for a special Cape Coral family. The Washington family had been in desperate need of a roof since Hurricane Irma.

A prior basketball player for Syracuse, Devell Washington became a quadriplegic at age 29 when he was hit by a stray bullet. His injuries were immediate and Devell could no longer care for himself independently. Subsequently, Devell and his daughter moved to Cape Coral to be with his family.

Relying only on disability benefits and part time employment, the family’s income is drained by the costs of Devell’s medication and basic living. They do not have the luxury of making any type of substantial repairs to their home.

Without means to repair their roof, it has been a struggle for Mr. and Mrs. Washington and the health and safety of their  family was at risk.

After learning about the Washington Family, Kelly Roofing immediately jumped in to take part and help this special family in need.

This week, thanks to the generosity of Kelly Roofing, the Washington Family received the ultimate gift. A new roof.

All labor and materials were donated and the total value of repairs was over $37,000.

The Washington’s were overwhelmed by the kindness and hard work that was put into making this possible for them. Special thank you to Kelly Roofing for their generosity in helping this family! What a delight to know the Washington family will enjoy the Holidays with comfort and ease.
