Dr. Kool Air, Goodman Manufacturing and Lee BIA Builders Care Team Up Again For a North Fort Myers Homeowner in Need

On July 20, Lee BIA Builders Care marched down the street of Charles Debarr to surprise him with a new air conditioning unit with the help of Dr. Kool Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Goodman Manufacturing. The new unit will allow Debarr remain cool in the Florida heat.

Debarr is an Ohio native, and moved to Colorado Springs as a young adult to begin working as a civilian employee at the U.S. Air Force Academy. After a 20-year career, he retired to southwest Florida after health issues arose in 2002. Charles then underwent a routine orthoscopic shoulder surgery and formed blood clots in one of his lungs and his right leg. The lack of circulation in his leg has created significant pain and challenges in his mobility. Replacing Debarr’s aged unit will aid in his overall quality of life and mobility.

The team at Dr. Kool stepped up to help out!

Dr. Kool Air provided the labor to complete the air conditioning system installation and the materials were donated by Goodman Manufacturing. All services and products were provided by the companies at no charge to the homeowner. Work was completed in just one day. Debarr’s AC replacement was the fourth surprise installation this summer provided by Builders Care, well on its way to fulfilling its goal of 10 replacements this summer.
