Crowther Roofing and Lee BIA Builders Care Partner to Repair Roof for Cancer Survivor

On July 19, team members of Crowther Residential Roofing began work on Charlotte Gould’s dilapidated roof. The repairs are to ensure Gould can renew her homeowner’s insurance policy.

Gould moved to southwest Florida from Rochester, New York in 1971 and raising two children on her own by working several jobs to make ends meet. She is also a cervical cancer survivor of over 20 years and underwent back surgery in 2006. She has had several falls, breaking her foot and shoulder in several spots limiting her mobility and causing financial hardship.

Crowther provided materials and services at no cost to the homeowner. Work was completed in two days to repair her fascia and soffit. Gould will now be able to renew her homeowner’s policy to continue insuring her home.

“More and more of our clients are encountering issues renewing their homeowner’s policies,” said Christi Pritchett Sarlo, executive director of Builders Care. “We are so thankful to Crowther for blessing Ms. Gould with a roof that will last for many years to come and keep her insured.”
