Ad-Ler Roofing and Lee BIA Builders Care partner to provide new roof for Elderly Disabled Army Veteran

In response to a roof emergency for a Builders Care applicant, Ad-Ler Roofing graciously stepped in to provide a brand new roof to a very deserving family in Fort Myers.

Harvey, is an elderly, disabled, Army veteran, now 90 years-old, and worked until the age of 83. He suffers from tremors, Parkinson’s disease and spinal stenosis, leaving him in constant pain and bed bound. His wife of 62 years, Sandra, is his full-time caregiver.  With an extremely fixed income, they barley have enough left over for food, after covering living costs and medical bills. In addition, the Angelson’s have had their share of challenges including the death of their daughter-in-law and son who took his life after struggling with physical and mental issues.

This new roof is truly a blessing for the Angelson family and Ad-Ler Roofing was honored to do it. With wood rot in several locations and more than 10 previous repairs (some more professional than others), they lost the large majority of granules from their roof shingles and had exposed nails in multiple locations. The crew at Ad-Ler Roofing began its work replacing Angelson’s roof on August 7th and completed the work in just a few days.  “We are so grateful for Ryan Gartrell and all the staff at Ad-Ler Roofing. Their prompt response and willingness to step in and complete the job sets them apart in the industry,” said Christi Pritchett Sarlo, Executive Director of Builders Care.
