Volunteers go the extra mile

Lee Builders Care

Last week, Builders Care and Lee BIA members finished project no. 126 for Daniel and his family. The project included renovated the existing 5’x 9′ bathroom and specially designing it to accommodate Daniel’s paralysis on the left side of his body. Throughout the entire project, people went above and beyond to help this local family in need. A few of those included Vic from Young’s Electric staying until 9 pm to finish electrical work to keep the schedule on time. Another included the Lee County Building Department Inspection team members, David Morris and George Barber, making a special trip out to the house at the last minute to complete inspections to keep us on time. Tony with Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings worked all weekend long to finish the tile work. Lee BIA & Builders Care staff members, Valerie and Olivia, created a beautiful mosaic tile piece made up of the original tile that Daniel installed in the bathroom before the accident. And there were so many many others that went above and beyond to help out this family. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful group of giving people that volunteer with Builders Care. From the Board of Directors, staff and all of the clients you serve, we THANK YOU.

Board member, Annette Nilles, presents the mosaic tile piece to Daniel, N. Fort Myers.
