Team effort gives independence to N. Ft. Myers couple

Lee Builders Care

More than $2K in materials, 24 hours of construction, 10 volunteers, 7 sandwiches from subway, 6 pizzas from Domino’s Pizza, 5 local building industry companies, 3 cases of water and lots of heart, led to an amazing gift for a N. Fort Myers couple.

Roy and Betty Logan have had their share of major medical challenges including a life-threatening complications related to diabetes. Roy, 58, had his leg amputated in December and just returned home after a two–month stay in the hospital and six months in therapy.

Before Builders Care, Roy had no way to get in and out of his home safely because of several steep stairs into their home. After 3 days and a lot of work, mission accomplished. Volunteers and 5 local companies contributed to the construction of the 50′ ramp needed at the Logan home.

Contributing companies included Raymond Building Supply, MW Sitework & Dumpsters, Harbor Springs Building Company, West Coast Structural Concrete & Masonry and T& M Portable Restrooms.
