Each year, Lee BIA Builders Care works with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) to identify a student intern to help with the annual fundraiser, BBQ Bands and Brew. This year’s intern is Cayla Reis. We are very excited to have Cayla join our team and we look forward to providing her with a variety of learning experiences to help her continue her educational path.
Here’s a note from Cayla: “Hello, my name is Cayla Reis and I am a sophomore at Florida Gulf Coast University. I am honored to say that I am the new special events & marketing intern for Lee BIA Builders Care! I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have two great parents, a twin brother, a 13 year old younger sister, and an 11 year old little brother. I also have 2 yorkies and 2 pitbulls. My family and my faith in Jesus Christ are the most important aspects of my life. They have both taught me to love unconditionally and to be a helping hand whenever or wherever I can. I am beyond excited to not only gain great business experience in this internship, but to also be apart of the movement to help those in need. The eighth annual BBQ, Bands, and Brew event will be held on Sunday, April 9 from 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Lee County Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd. in Fort Myers. The fundraiser is open to the public and will feature live music from local headlining bands, along with several local barbecue restaurants, vendors, BBQ competition to name the Best BBQ in town and activities for kids. Admission is $10 per person. Children ages 12 and under are free, and free parking is available. Sponsorships and vendor spaces are now available for the eighth annual BBQ, Bands and Brew.
