Fort Myers based Building Industry Association (BIA) is currently accepting resumes for the position of Director of Membership and Events. This nonprofit association, which represents Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties of Florida, is a powerful voice for the building industry in the regulatory area and provides a multitude of services and events geared towards building industry related companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of events planning, communications and membership and work closely with other staff members. Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, or a comparable relevant field preferred and a minimum of 3 years related experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, strong skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook, Publisher and have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with other departmental staff, outside groups and vendors, and organizations. Must also have excellent writing and proofreading skills as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment.
