Ferguson Cares Program Recognizes Lee BIA Builders Care

LeeBC

Ferguson Cares, the community outreach program of Ferguson recently recognized Lee BIA Builders Care through their corporate give-back program. The company awarded Builders Care with a $500 award after  Charles Thornton, a long-time Ferguson associate nominated the organization for the award in April.  Chuck has been a volunteer with Builders Care for nearly ten years. He now serves on the board of directors and helps orchestrate many of the life-changing home renovations that are completed by Builders Care each year.Image result for ferguson cares

Earlier this year, Ferguson challenged their employees to submit a story about their work volunteering. Chuck shared the following with us from the company along with his submission.

From the Ferguson internal company intranet:

It is all about supporting and appreciating the role of devoted volunteers who are improving our local communities each and every day. At Ferguson, we know that so many of our associates and customers are passionate about giving back to their communities, and we want to thank all those who do. If you’re not currently volunteering, what a perfect time to start.

Leave a comment below to share how you volunteered during the month of April. One lucky associate will be chosen to win a Ferguson Cares prize pack, as well as a $500 donation to their favorite nonprofit organization.

Ferguson HVAC & Ferguson Plumbing working across company divisions to partner with the non-profit organization Builders Care.

Ferguson HVAC and Ferguson Plumbing have worked together on many projects over the years to help Builders Care and our community. Doing things from fundraisers, community projects, to hands on labor helping those in need. The greatest part about the projects we are involved in is that we are able to work alongside our customers, contractors and community leaders to make a huge and powerful impact in all the lives we touch. For me personally, the greatest part of what we do as an organized group of Ferguson associates is working as ONE toward a common goal. When you see the pride and tears from our fellow associates it is very humbling and reminds us all every day how fortunate we are to work for the greatest company in our industry. When you hear about the Ferguson pride and the culture we have, it is something real within our Ferguson group and is what separates us from all other companies.

In regards to a recent project, we completed: After reading of the family’s struggles we realized that this was a family in desperate need. We knew we had to take action and it all revolved around the business we work in and on every day. We immediately got started! With the help of our GM, Hunter Shepard and Sales Manager, Courtney King working closely with our Branch Manager in Fort Myers, Ralph Nieves we were able to get an organized plan together that would involve reaching out and partner with one of our great customers.

Ferguson HVAC partnered with Lead Mechanical Services and together with Builders Care provided and installed a new air conditioning system at no charge to the homeowner. https://leebuilderscare.com/bc_project/builders-care-surprises-paraplegic-with-a-brand-new-ac/

We appreciate Chuck Thornton for his generosity and continued dedication to Builders Care over the years. Ferguson has been a tremendous industry partner to our program.
