CFS Roofing Services & Builders Care to surprise volunteer with roof repair before rainy season

Lee Builders Care

David Crowther and his wife, Karen, owners of CFS Roofing Services, surprised local Lehigh Acres woman, Estela. They granted her request and donated a brand new roof. Lee Drywall also assisted in the drywall repairs where there was damage in the ceiling from on-going roof leaks.

Estela, 71, has spent most of her adult life volunteering and serving her community. As the age of 50, she graduated from nursing school with the hopes of bettering the lives of others. After joining the Red Cross, Estela was transferred to Immokalee to work with the migrant workers and their families. There, she spent 10 years helping to improve the quality of life for local people in the Immokalee community. Estela says the highlight of her career was working in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina. She spent 3 weeks with Red Cross volunteering in the communities that were devastated by the storm. After years of serving others, Estela, also a recovering Breast Cancer survivor, needs a little help of her own.

Currently, the 54-year-old house has a leaking roof and caused mold and drywall issues inside her modest home. The repair of the failing roof is expected to be completed in just two days, on May 1st.

A special thank you to Amanda’s Cart for donating lunch to our volunteers.
