Builders Care Thanks Local Government for Continued Support

Lee Builders Care

Lee BIA Builders Care, the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) is celebrating 10 years of providing emergency construction services and repairs to the elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged homeowners of Lee County. To date, Builders Care has provided over $4 million of services at no cost to homeowners in Lee County with over 290 projects completed.

To celebrate this milestone, Builders Care visited both the City of Fort Myers City Council and the Lee County Board of County Commissioners to acknowledge the tremendous partnership and support displayed by both governmental bodies to assist homeowners in need with emergency construction services.

Services provided by Builders Care included wheelchair ramps, handicapped accessible bathroom modifications, new roofs, plumbing, electrical repairs, air conditioners and more.

Throughout the last decade, Builders Care has worked very closely with all departments in Community Development and we would like to recognize all staff in Planning, Building, Permitting, Inspections and Code Enforcement. They have all played an integral role in the process of helping local citizens in need.
