Builders Care team members and VIPs from Stock Development waited in pews quietly at Summit Church this past Saturday before the big announcement was to be revealed. The Garcia family were attending their regular church service as they do every Saturday night at the University Campus of Summit Church in Fort Myers. As the band quieted, Pastor Cabrera began to speak about blessings and answered prayers. He then spoke about Builders Care and how they and a local builder were partnering to provide a much-needed blessing to one of their church families.
He said, “This family does not even know that they are about to receive an amazing gift.”
With that, the Pastor asked the Garcia family to join him on stage. Bob Imig, Vice President of Construction for Stock Development, explained that they were going to lead a team of sub-contractors to build a brand new home for the family in just 17 days to be completed before Thanksgiving. Brian Stock, CEO of Stock Development, presented Bob & Mary with a key chain in the shape of a home to symbolize that keys to a new home were in their near future. Bob was moved to tears as he thought of the wonderful gift that had been bestowed upon him. “This is a huge blessing!” Bob exclaimed. Mary was in shock by the surprise and humbled by the thought of a new home. “Never in my wildest dreams,” she said. Although several months ago when the Garcia’s roof was failing and rain was pouring in, she told her sister, ” I have been praying to God for a new roof.” Mary’s sister made a suggestion, “I think you should pray for a new house.” And there you have it! Prayers do get answered more often than you know.
