FORT MYERS, Fla. – Ajax Paving Industries of Florida has donated $500 to help the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Builders Care program provide free home repairs to disadvantage Lee County residents.

Andy Decraene, Area Manager for Lee County, suggested the donation. “This donation demonstrates Ajax’s ongoing commitment to the community and we felt it was a great match to give back within our industry,” DeCreane said. The gift is part of the funds raised at the company’s annual charity golf tournament that benefits local charities from around the State.

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA). Its objective is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. To date, Lee BIA Builders Care has put more than $2.4 Million in construction services back into the community at no cost to homeowners in need. Builders Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout Lee County. Major supporters include Cape Coral Plumbing, Ferguson Enterprises, Harbor Springs Building Company, Nilles Design Group, Priority Marketing of Southwest Florida, Stock Development and The Aubuchon Team of Companies.
